We are always exposed to information. If we do not consciously choose what to learn or believe, we are easily influenced and controlled by others. And we already are — more or less.
If you want to be less influenced and controlled, taking an inventory of your belief and knowledge is a good start. See them objectively. Identify the source. Figure out what works for you and what not. Throw away what doesn’t work.
If we don’t reinvent ourselves, someone else will. Let us take initiative for the rest of our lives.
