Doodle Card #449 – Love & Fight

Love & fight.
愛せ、戦え。

Kindness and compassion can be quite addictive.

It’s quite comfortable when someone is kind and/or compassionate to us. Then we tend to forget to keep sharpening our edge: hard-work, perseverance, or toughness.

Not everyone on this planet is our ally. We have tons of haters and naysayers in our life, and we’ve got to fight. We always need someone who is kind and compassionate to us, but never forget to prepare for battle.

Doodle Card #448 – Overcome Doubt

Overcome doubt.
疑いを乗り越えよう。

Doubt is an addiction.

When you are in doubt, you actually avoid responsibility and play the victim card. Doubt often makes you comfortable: you can avoid facts, logic, or any situation that put you in a position that would force you to change your view or belief. So being in doubt can easily become a habit—and get you addicted.

As Suzy Kassem put it, “Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.” This is exactly true, but I would add one more: doubt lets us refuse to face reality than fantasy ever will.

Never be addicted to doubt. Or self-doubt. Don’t give power to it; use that power to overcome an addiction.

Doodle Card #447 – Go Even Further

Go even further.
もっと先に行こう。

We were not born to be mediocre. Each one of us was born as a genius; however, all talents need to be found and developed throughout our life.

Your genius is not always awakened in your childhood. It may take years, or decades, to unleash your genius. You might have overlooked many opportunities to become a genius because you don’t believe that you are a genius.

Strive relentlessly to awaken your inner genius—something that makes you completely different from anyone else on this planet. Create a life of greatness around it. You can do this. We all can do this.

Doodle Card #446 – Face Reality

Face reality.
現実に立ち向かおう。

We get the power to change reality only when we face it and take action toward something different.

Posting your complaint on social media wouldn’t be the action you want to take. It might change the world around you a little bit, but most of the time, it is too soft and indirect to make a real difference.

Don’t focus too much on a negative. Every situation has a positive and negative. Observe carefully, leverage a positive side, and turn a negative side into a positive one.

Doodle Card #445 – Do Your Workout

Do your workout.
トレーニングをしよう。

Although most of us are not a professional athlete, we all need workout because it makes us better—physically and mentally. But it doesn’t mean that we all need to do workouts like a pro. Walking outside for 15 minutes would be more than enough, or 10 push-ups would be sufficient, if you haven’t done it. The point is to do a bit of extra; go a bit further than your current limit.

And we had better not forget that our brain also needs workout, otherwise it will weaken. Regardless of your age, learn something new. Keep learning. You sometimes get upset or frustrated—like I did when I was brushing up on the basic of Final Cut Pro X—but that’s a sign that your brain is being redeveloped. Doing a bit of extra always works.
