So what is ‘the water’ your life needs?

Positive thoughts.

Someone you love.

Someone who loves you.

People who inspire and uplift you.

Courage and challenge.

Knowledge and wisdom from your experience.

Some money (yeah, let’s face it).

What else? There’s one more thing you definitely need:

Your will to make your life spectacular.

Even if you almost give up on your life, always remember that you can turn it around and make it better. Keep watering it until the very last moment.

 

 

Love yourself.
自分自身を愛そう。

 

‘Love yourself’—this is what I couldn’t do for decades. Even now, I can’t always do so, especially when I need to.

Loving ourselves is a basis for everything in our life. We can’t love others if we don’t love ourselves, and can’t build a healthy relationship with anyone either.

Loving ourselves always comes first. If you hate someone or resent someone’s insult, forgive the person. It doesn’t mean that you have to love the person; it is to protect yourself from negative feelings. This is one of the ways to show love to yourself.

 

 

Act like a victor.
勝利者のようにふるまおう。

 

Is the customer always right? Nope. The customer is not always right, and when he or she is wrong, it’s our responsibility to explain why.

Even when your client is wrong and insults you, don’t see yourself as a victim. We all are born to be a victor. Helping your customer to change a wrong perception is one of the zillions ways to make you a winner.

Always act like a winner, no matter what happens. Guide others, help others, be kind and grateful for people around you. Someday you won’t have to act like a winner anymore—because you will be THE winner.

 

 

Allow your creativity to run wild.
創造力を解き放て。

 

Whenever you create, don’t be afraid of anything. Your writing, coding, painting—or anything you create—can change your world.

Other people may or may not like your work. But it doesn’t matter at the beginning. Be bold, and create something unique. Go beyond someone’s expectations.

Your inner creativity is begging you to be yourself.

 

 

Quit to continue.
続けるためにやめる。

 

Quitting is often the best way to move forward.

You might be able to make the best use of your talents and skills if you find a new job at a company with better management.

You might be able to become healthier and smarter if you quit bad habits—like drinking a lot, smoking, or watching porn online.

You might be able to find a better way to deal with your current situation if you stop sticking to your beliefs.

We are all here to live a better life. There is no reason to settle for less. If something doesn’t work, quit—then start fresh to continue to live your life.
